More than 1.8 million Somalis facing drought received humanitarian assistance in February 2022.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the assistance was from different sources.
OCHA published a report on this issue.
The report was dated March 29.
As per the OCHA report, the East African nation still requires enhanced humanitarian assistance as part of drought response efforts.
OCHA’s report shows that more than 3.5 million people in Somalia face an acute shortage of water for domestic uses.
It terms the ongoing water trucking services as “insufficient.”
