Over 1,000 Students from Mogadishu Schools Fail Unified National Exams

More than 1,000 students from Mogadishu schools failed Somalia’s unified national examinations.

The federal Ministry of Education released the results of the exams that took place across the country a few weeks ago.

While releasing the results on August 16, the education ministry stated that 33,468 students in Somalia sat for the examinations.

Students from schools in Mogadishu, Galmudug, Southwest, Jubbaland, and HirShabelle sat for the examinations.

Those from Puntland did not sit for these particular exams as that regional state has its own unique exams.

Out of the 1,143 students who never did well in the exams, Mogadishu with its 1,100 was responsible for the highest number.
