The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has evacuated over 1,000 Somalis from Sudan.
The government started evacuating its nationals from the conflict-ridden Sudan around a week ago.
As of Thursday, the government announced that it had evacuated 1,198 Somalis.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre said this while chairing the weekly cabinet meeting on Thursday.
He added that the exercise would not stop until the government returns all Somalis stranded in Sudan back home.
