More than 20,000 people are set to benefit as a new health facility was opened in Somalia over the weekend.
Qatar Charity opened the health center at Madina Hospital in the Benadir region on Sunday.
Several dignitaries from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) attended the ceremony held to open the facility.
Representatives from the Qatari Embassy in Mogadishu were at the ceremony too.
The health center has a maternity wing as well as a doctor’s clinic.
Additionally, the center will have an emergency department, laboratory, vaccination room, administrative offices, and pharmacy.
