The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said that more than 580,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) risk contracting COVID-19.
OCHA said that the IDPs are in 237 sites spread all around the country.
The global organization made this announcement on November 17 while providing the latest COVID-19 update.
In its update, OCHA provided the latest COVID-19 figures since the start of October.
It listed the more than 500 cases the country has recorded in the last two months, which include six deaths.
Currently, the tally of COVID-19 cases in the East African nation stands at 3,941.
As of October 25, Somalia had recorded 104 deaths.
OCHA has sent out an appeal for more funding to help the Horn of Africa nation to tackle the COVID-19 menace effectively.
