Owner of Mogadishu’s Hayat Hotel Among Those Killed by Al-Shabaab

The owner of Hayat Hotel in Mogadishu is among those who lost their lives when Al-Shabaab terrorists attacked the establishment on Friday evening.

Abdirahman Hassan Iman, the proprietor of the popular hotel, is believed to have died together with other people when terrorists attacked it on August 19.

Security agencies believe that at least 15 people were killed in the deadly attack.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attack started when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device just outside the hotel.

Several gunmen then stormed the hotel and started shooting at everyone in sight.

Moments later, another suicide bomber detonated a second bomb.

The second explosion injured security forces, civilians, and first responders.

Witnesses claim that they saw several lifeless bodies lying strewn all over the place inside and outside the hotel.
