Owners of Civilian Cars Warned against Carrying Armed Soldiers in Mogadishu

Owners of civilian cars have been warned to stop giving rides to armed soldiers.

Benadir Regional Administration issued a warning to the drivers on Sunday.

The warning also goes to drivers of the popular tuk-tuk rickshaws.

Lately, there has been a sharp rise in incidents of armed soldiers shooting and killing or injuring such drivers in the region.

The issue found its way to the federal cabinet a few weeks ago.
