Pakistan to Provide Somali Air Force with Advanced Military Training

Pakistan has declared that it will support the advanced military training that Somali Air Force needs. This emerged in a meeting between representatives of the two countries air forces in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The SAF Commander, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Sheikh held a meeting in the Pakistani capital with Anwar Khan, the Middle East country’s Air Chief. During that meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between their respective air forces.

SAF’s Commander said his country admires the rich history of PAF. He also acknowledged PAF’s recent efforts aimed at modernizing and indigenizing its fleet. Air Chief Khan highlighted the cordial relations the two nations enjoy.

Chief Anwar said his country is ready to support and cooperate with Somali Air Force, especially in the area of providing advanced training to the Horn of Africa nation. The collapse of Somali’s government in 1991 led to the disbandment of its air force.
