The Joint Parliamentary Committee on Presidential Elections continues to register individuals interested in the seat.
The committee registered the first batch of the candidates on Sunday, May 8.
The registration exercise, which is taking place at the Senate Offices in Mogadishu, resumed on Monday.
On the first day, the joint committee registered 10 candidates.
Thus far, only one female candidate has registered and presented herself for the election, which takes place on Sunday, May 15.
Former Presidents and Prime Ministers have registered their interests too.
