A plane carrying a delegation from HirShabelle State made an emergency landing at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Newly elected President of HirShabelle, Abdihakim Luqman, was in the plane that landed at the Mogadishu airport on the morning of December 1.
Several regional Members of Parliament (MPs) were also in the plane.
On Tuesday, the HirShabelle delegation was traveling to Beledweyne for a series of meetings with other local administrators when the plane mishap occurred.
According to the passengers, the pilot had informed them that one of the plane’s engines had failed to operate normally; hence, the need to land at the airport suddenly.
