An airplane that was carrying medical equipment donated by the government of Italy has arrived in Somalia.
The plane belonging to EU Humanitarian Aid’s Humanitarian Air Bridge landed at the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
The plane delivered 12 tons of medical equipment.
It will be handed over to different organizations that are then expected to distribute the equipment to Somalia’s Ministry of Health and other medical institutions.
This was the third plane delivering medical equipment from Italy to the Horn of African nation to help it in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
