Planes Carrying Somalis Evacuated from Sudan Arrive in Mogadishu and Garowe

Planes carrying Somalis evacuated from war-torn Sudan have arrived back home.

Two planes arrived in Somalia on Sunday carrying 123 Somalis.

One of the planes landed at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.

The other one took the evacuees to the Garowe airport.

Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama was at Mogadishu’s international airport to receive the 78 evacuees.

The other plane with its 45 evacuees traveled to Garowe.

Flights carrying more Somalis are expected back home in the next few days.
