Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has appointed Dr. Elmi Mohamud Nor as the new Minister of Public Works.
This decision, which Prime Minister Barre announced on Monday, follows the reassignment of Abdisalam Abdi Ali, the former public works minister, to the role of Deputy Prime Minister, as outlined by the federal constitution.
The reshuffling is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the cabinet and address key areas of development.
Dr. Nor’s expertise is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the Ministry of Public Works.
