Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre announced a mini-cabinet reshuffle on Monday, after making several key appointments.
PM Barre started by appointing Jibril Abdirashid Haji as the new Minister of Defense. Haji previously served as the Minister of Commerce and Industry.
The Prime Minister also moved Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur from the Ministry of Defense to serve as the Minister of Ports & Maritime Transport.
Barre didn’t stop there as his office announced the appointment of Abdulkadir Mohamed Nuh as the Minister of Aviation & Civil Aviation.
The communique from the Office of the Prime Minister added that Mohamud Ahmed Adan has been named the new Minister of Trade & Industry.
PM Barre proceeded by appointing Mohamed Abdulkadir Ali to be the minister in charge of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
This reshuffle reflects strategic changes in key ministerial positions to address governance and development priorities.
