Police officers have arrested a Somali youth for posting “immoral” content on TikTok.
Abdirizak Abdullahi, a young man from Dhobley, was arrested on Thursday, May 26 for posting content on his TikTok account, which authorities deemed “immoral and indecent.”
Currently, Abdullahi is in police custody in Kismayo, the administrative capital of the regional state of Jubbaland.
Abdullahi’s arrest follows complaints received from members of the public regarding the nature of his TikTok posts.
In their view, Abdullahi’s content hurts Somali society.
