General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar, the Commissioner of the Somali Police Force (SPF) commended Somalis for holding peaceful Inter-States Football Tournament.
The tournament took place over the last two weeks of December 2020.
According to Gen. Hijar, the tournament was a resounding success for many reasons, chief of which was the peaceful manner it was conducted.
Gen. Hijar expressed his gratitude to members of the police force, security agents from various agencies, Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), and Federal Member States (FMS).
He also commended supporters who came to Mogadishu from various parts of the country to watch the tournament from beginning to the end.
Generally, the tournament was successful despite taking place during an intense electioneering period in the East African nation.
