President Abdi Calls for an End to the Fadhi-gaab Hostilities

President Musa Bihi Abdi has called for an immediate end to the hostilities that have raged on in Fadhi-gaab, Sanaag.

While addressing the country on Sunday, Bihi urged all the warring clans in the region to lay down their arms to avoid more bloodshed.

President Bihi said, “I call upon the warring clans to cease the clashes immediately since the Holy Month of Ramadan is just about to start.”

Furthermore, the President asked residents of Fadhi-gaab to “unite and cooperate” rather than fighting at a time when Allah has blessed them with good rains and prosperity.

He also mentioned that the timing is wrong since the country, and by extension the entire world, is grappling with the effects of COVID-19.

Bihi appealed to community and traditional elders to step in to end the animosity before the situation worsen.
