President Bihi Accuses Egypt of Being Hostile Towards Somaliland

There have been tensions between Somaliland and Egypt, particularly regarding Egypt’s stance on Somaliland’s quest for recognition as an independent state and its regional interests.

Today, Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi criticized Egypt’s influence in the Horn of Africa and its relations with Somalia.

He has accused Egypt of being hostile to Somaliland’s aspirations for independence.

At times, Bihi has characterized Egyptian actions as driven by “greed,” particularly in the context of regional power dynamics and the Nile River geopolitics.
