President Musa Bihi Abdi has arrived back to Somaliland from his official tour to Djibouti where he met with President Mohamed Farmaajo of Somalia and other leaders.
Bihi’s plane landed at Hargeisa Airport early today and he was received warmly by supporters who lined up along the road linking the airport to the Presidential Palace.
Last night, a technical committee comprising members from both Somalia and Somaliland hammered a historic deal.
Bihi confirmed that his recent meeting with Farmaajo was the second high-level meeting between leaders of the two countries.
He confirmed to his fellow citizens that subsequent meetings would follow to address the remaining contentious issues.
