President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland hosted Swedish Ambassador Joachim Waern at the Presidential Palace.
Their discussions focused on enhancing the relationship between Somaliland and Sweden, with particular attention to Sweden’s support for social development initiatives in Somaliland.
The two leaders also addressed regional peace, security, and Somaliland’s upcoming elections.
President Bihi emphasized Somaliland’s ongoing efforts to meet international standards for recognition as a sovereign state, underscoring its progress towards statehood.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Rooda Jama Elmi, was also present during the meeting.
