President Muse Bihi of the Republic of Somaliland laid the foundation stone for a new Aviation Institute at the Somaliland Civil Aviation and Airport Authority on Monday.
During the event, the president also tested some of the planes that will be part of Somaliland’s aviation fleet.
In a symbolic gesture, President Bihi piloted one of the planes himself, flying over the capital, Hargeisa.
This initiative marks a significant step forward for the country’s aviation sector, emphasizing Somaliland’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and aviation capabilities.
