President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland led a delegation to Awdal region to launch a newly constructed bridge in Borama.
Local residents turned up to welcome Bihi, who was in the company of top government officials.
The new bridge links Amoud University, which just celebrated its 19th graduation ceremony this weekend, to Borama.
Bihi’s administration provided the funds for constructing the bridge, which has been christened Amoud Bridge.
Its construction started in 2019 when President Bihi laid a foundation stone to give it his blessing.
The management of Amoud University was also at the colorful launching ceremony on Saturday.
