President Muse Bihi Abdi says the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Somaliland and Ethiopia a diplomatic and strategic agreement.
Speaking to the media, President Bihi says the agreement will enable Somaliland to secure the international recognition it craves while allowing Ethiopia to gain access to the sea.
If such an agreement has taken place, it would mark a significant development in regional geopolitics.
It would also boost Somaliland’s quest for recognition and enhance Ethiopia’s economic and strategic position by securing access to maritime trade routes.
President Bihi added that there’s no turning back from the agreement, as it enables Somaliland to fulfill national interests.
