Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni has launched the second phase of the Peace Road project in Galkayo.
Deni launched the project together with Galmudug’s Minister of Security, Ahmed Mohamed Fiqi on Tuesday.
The project is critical in connecting the southern and northern parts of Puntland’s administrative capital.
Deni and Fiqi cited the role the construction of the Peace Road would play in making Galkayo peaceful, safe, secure, and stable.
They also expressed belief in the project’s ability to promote social cohesion while strengthening collaboration between Galmudug and Puntland.
