President Said Deni of Puntland has rejected calls for mediation between President Mohamed Farmaajo and President of Jubaland, Ahmed Madobe.
While voicing his opinion, President Deni claimed that the past grudges between the two leaders would be forgotten soon.
Deni made his statements on Thursday during an event organized by PDRC.
Further, he claimed that the two leaders have already buried the hatchet for the sake of the country’s stability.
For months, President Farmaajo and his government refused to recognize the election of President Madobe accusing Kenya of meddling in the polls.
In Deni’s opinion, the recent visit of FGS’ Minister of Finance, Abdirahman Beyle, to Jubaland offers proof of the two leaders’ willingness to work together.
