President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has accused Al-Shabaab of financing militant groups in Nigeria and Mozambique.
According to President Mohamud, Al-Shabaab raises funds from Somalia before sending to sister groups in other African nations.
Specifically, he mentioned terror groups in Nigeria and Mozambique.
Further, President Mohamud said that Al-Shabaab has close relations with Al-Qaeda groups in other nations.
Al-Shabaab has a strong presence in southern Somalia and many rural parts of the country.
President Mohamud was speaking during his recent visit to Turkey.
He spoke about Al-Shabaab while visiting Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers undergoing commando training at a Turkish academy in Ankara.
