President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre in Mogadishu.
The meeting between the two most senior officials of the Somali government took place on Wednesday, June 29.
The President had just announced that he tested negative for COVID-19.
Last week on Friday, he announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 immediately after arriving in the country from his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Since then, President Mohamud had been in self-isolation.
The two leaders discussed wide-ranging issues. Top on their list of priorities was the pending formation of a new government.
