President Mohamud Commemorates 82nd Anniversary of Somali Police Force

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud joined senior officials, diplomats, and military leaders in Mogadishu to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the Somali Police Force (SPF). Established in 1943, the force was honored for its historic role as a pillar of national service and its commitment to upholding the rule of law.

  • Rapid Progress: The President commended the Police Command for recent advancements, including modernized facilities, improved professional training, and enhanced public safety measures.

  • Election Readiness: A central theme of the address was the upcoming district council elections scheduled for December 25.
