President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud concluded the annual Ramadan Holy Quran recitation competition on Thursday, awarding cash prizes to the top seven reciters.
The prizes ranged from $2,000 to $20,000, recognizing their exceptional skills and dedication. During the event, President Mohamud congratulated both the students and their parents, commending their efforts in promoting Quranic education.
He also encouraged the youth to continue their studies of the Holy Quran, emphasizing the importance of preserving Islamic teachings and values.
This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to supporting religious education and fostering a deeper connection to the Quran among the younger generation.
