President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has concluded his trips to Baidoa and Dhusamareb.
The new Somali leader left Mogadishu for the first time this week to travel to Baidoa and Dhusamareb on a peace mission.
He also used the opportunity to evaluate the extent of the drought that continues to devastate Somalia.
President Mohamud met and held discussions with various leaders and the local communities in both Baidoa and Dhusamareb.
He commended the residents of both cities for agreeing to work together to avert the humanitarian crisis that is currently threatening them.
The Somali President also expressed delight at the news that stakeholders would work closely together to tackle terrorism decisively.
President Mohamud returned to Mogadishu on Friday, June 3.
