President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud recently denied rumors circulating on social media that he has granted Ethiopia access to Somalia’s sea.
The President was speaking during the June 26 celebrations held to commemorate Somalia’s Independence Day.
He added that Ethiopia knows what to do to access or use any seaport in Somalia.
President Mohamud said those responsible for spreading the rumors and misinformation around the country are “liars.”
