President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with top intelligence and security officers for briefing regarding the worsening situation in Mogadishu.
Sources revealed that the President was unhappy over the resurgence of insecurity in Somalia’s capital city in the last few weeks.
President Mohamud sought explanations and accountability from the intelligence and security experts.
The meeting, which was on Sunday evening at Villa Somalia, took place a few hours after Al-Shabaab launched a mortar attack near Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Furthermore, the President was equally concerned the attempt carried out by terrorists on his entourage a few days ago while he was on his way to Middle Shabelle.
