President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud hosted the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Somalia at Villa Somalia.
The Somali President hosted Ambassador Mohamed Ahmed Al Othman on Thursday, May 26.
During the meeting, President Mohamud expressed gratitude to the UAE for the support it continues offering Somalia.
Recently, the UAE government donated $9.6 million to Somalia for the ongoing drought mitigation efforts.
President Mohamud specifically cited that donation when thanking Ambassador Al Othman for UAE’s contributions to the drought mitigation efforts in Somalia.
