Mogadishu, Somalia – President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud officially inaugurated the newly constructed headquarters of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Islamic Affairs in Mogadishu on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone in Somalia’s pursuit of self-reliance and institutional reform.
The modern facility was fully funded through domestic resources, underscoring the Federal Government of Somalia’s growing capacity to finance key infrastructure projects without external assistance. This development reflects the government’s broader vision to strengthen national institutions and improve public service delivery across the country.
In his remarks at the ceremony, President Mohamud praised the ministry’s leadership and staff for their dedication, emphasizing the importance of religious institutions in fostering peace, unity, and moral guidance within Somali society.
