The leaders representing the Somali business community arrived in Mogadishu on June 9 for President Mohamud’s inauguration ceremony.
They stayed behind for a series of meetings with top leaders from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
President Mohamud’s meeting with the leaders of the business leaders took place at Villa Somalia on Saturday, June 11.
He urged them to continue contributing to the ongoing emergency drought response in Somalia.
The ongoing drought in Somalia is the worst in the last four decades.
Millions of people are at risk of starvation and famine.
President Mohamud expressed gratitude to the leaders of the Somali business community from Kenya for attending his inauguration.
