The son of Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has arrived in Mogadishu for discussions with senior Somali government officials.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Museveni’s son, arrived in Mogadishu on Wednesday and held a meeting with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at Villa Somalia.
Gen. Kainerugaba is the Commander of the Ugandan Land Forces.
He also serves as the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations.
Kainerugaba delivered a message from President Museveni to President Mohamud. His message centered on the need for cooperation to combat terrorism.
President Mohamud also condoled the Ugandan delegation for the recent attack at Bulo Marer that caused the deaths of 54 soldiers from Uganda.
