President Tsai Predicts Bright Future for Taiwan-Somaliland Relations

President Tsai Ing-wen has predicted a “bright future” in the relations between Somaliland and Taiwan.

Tsai was speaking in the aftermath of the meeting between President Muse Bihi Abdi and the Taiwan Representative to Somaliland, Allen C. Lou on Monday, October 26.

While hailing the meeting, President Ing-wen said that the collaboration between Taiwan and Somaliland has already started bearing fruit.

Taiwan established diplomatic ties with Somaliland mid this year.

Since then, both sides have established a Representative Office in each other’s territory.

So far, Taiwan has invested in various sectors in Somaliland. Examples of these include health, IT, and education.
