President Mohamed Abdi Ware of HirShabelle State has formed and mandated a commission of inquiry to probe the Gololeey tragedy that has shocked the nation.
Seven health workers and a civilian were recently abducted and killed by unidentified people in Gololeey village.
Their deaths received widespread condemnation from international organizations, foreign diplomats, and local leaders.
Ware says the commission would begin sitting from today in Balcad.
He asked members of the commission to be impartial in their pursuit of justice for the dead, their loved ones and colleagues.
The commission of inquiry has one month to wrap up its investigations and submit a report to President Ware and the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
