Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre discussed the formation of Somalia’s new cabinet with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The Prime Minister discussed the issue with the President on Wednesday, July 27.
President Mohamud had just returned to the country from his official visit to Egypt.
While he was away, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the federal parliament to request them to extend the deadline for forming the new cabinet.
Parliament obliged by granting him 10 more days to announce his cabinet.
The Prime Minister and President Mohamud agreed that the new cabinet must be a credible one.
Further, the cabinet must be one that is ready to deliver the new regime’s development priorities for the people of Somalia.
