Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held separate meetings with the diplomats representing China and the United Kingdom.
The Prime Minister’s meetings with China’s Ambassador to Somalia and the UK’s Ambassador to Somalia took place on July 16.
The meetings took place separately at the Prime Minister’s office in Mogadishu.
He discussed several issues with Fei Shengchao, China’s Ambassador to Somalia.
The Prime Minister then briefed Kate Foster, the UK Ambassador to Somalia, on various issues in the East African nation.
He also urged the two diplomats to encourage their respective countries to increase contributions to the ongoing drought response in Somalia.
