Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has traveled to Tanzania to attend the upcoming African Human Capital Summit.
He arrived at the Dar Es Salaam airport on Monday night.
The theme for the World Bank-supported Summit is “Accelerating Africa’s Economic Growth: Boosting Youth Productivity by Improving Learning and Skills.”
Prime Minister Barre will represent Somalia at the Summit where he will address fellow participants on his government’s key priorities regarding humanity capital growth.
He has traveled with several senior government officials.
These include Dr. Ali Haji Adan, Dr. Mohamed Elmi Ibrahim, and Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir.
Dr. Adan is the Minister of Health and Social Welfare while Dr. Ibrahim serves the Somali government as the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs,
Abdulkadir is the Minister of Education.
The Summit, which runs from July 25-26, has attracted 1,200 delegates from different nations in the continent, according to Albert Chalamila, the Regional Commissioner of Dar Es Salaam.
