Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre spent the first day in office visiting the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.
The environment directorate is part of the Office of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Barre spent time with the officials of the directorate learning about their operations.
Ahmed Nur Yusuf, the Director-General of the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, briefed the Prime Minister on his team’s priorities.
Yusuf also brought the Prime Minister up to date on the directorate’s ongoing programs.
