Prime Minister Calls for Robust Diplomatic Ties between Somalia and Kenya

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has called for “robust diplomatic ties” between Somalia and Kenya.

Roble spoke during his meeting with Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House, Mombasa on August 10.

He traveled to Kenya at the invitation of President Kenyatta.

Raychelle Omamo, the Minister for Foreign Affairs who was in Mogadishu over the weekend to meet Prime Minister Roble, delivered President Kenyatta’s official invitation.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Roble called for a strengthening of the diplomatic ties between the two East African neighbors.

“Without robust diplomatic ties, we can’t promote trade, security, or interactions between our people,” the Prime Minister said.

He said that his visit to Kenya is in the spirit of mutual respect, cooperation, and good neighborliness between the two neighboring nations.
