Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with Nordic ambassadors at his office in Mogadishu on October 7.
During the meeting, which Roble described as “fruitful and productive,” the Prime Minister discussed several issues with the Nordic diplomats.
The focus of the discussion was on his “key priority areas” that include security, elections, good governance, and economic development.
Under good governance, Roble paid more attention on the fight against corruption, the constitutional review process, justice, peace-building efforts, and reconciliation.
Somalia is scheduled to hold local and parliamentary elections in December 2020 while preparing for presidential polls in February 2021.
Lately, Somalia has witnessed a sharp increase in insecurity with militia groups such as Al-Shabaab upping their attacks in various parts of the country.
