Prime Minister in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) Hassan Ali Khayre, met with the country’s international partners in a meeting labeled “urgent.”
During the meeting, PM Khayre outlined his government developmental agenda to his country’s international friends.
Several ambassadors representing countries that are on friendly terms with Somalia were at the meeting, which was also attended by representatives of aid organizations.
Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni was at the meeting and so were representatives from the United Nations.
President Deni issued a detailed report outlining the current situation facing Somalia and all the Federal Member States (FMS).
He also spoke of the kind of emergency aid that the Horn of Africa nation needs to fight COVID-19, stem locust invasion, and overcome challenges brought about by the raging floods.
