Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held a meeting with the victorious and history-setting Somalia U17 team in Addis Ababa.
The Somali Premier met with the team when he arrived in the Ethiopian capital on the first day of his official visit.
Somali U17 team qualified for the finals of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) after beating their Ugandan counterparts 8-7 on penalties.
Moreover, they also qualified for the 2023 Africa U17 Championships scheduled to take place in Algeria.
They were the first national team from Somalia to qualify for the finals of a major championship.
