Prime Minister Mourns the Death of Iconic Female Somali Musician

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has sent a message of condolences to the family, friends, and fans of an iconic Somali musician who passed away on October 19.

Zeinab Haji Ali, popularly known as Baxsan, died on Monday.

Roble mourned her death saying that the country had been robbed of a woman singer who played a major role in Somalia’s fight for independence.

He also praised her stellar contributions in building the nation.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Roble commended the role that Baxsan played in revitalizing Somali culture through her music.
