Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble toured Mogadishu Port on Thursday, December 1.
The purpose of the tour was to inspect the facility.
Mogadishu Port is critical to the economy of the East African country. It serves as a gateway into the country via the ocean too.
Several ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) accompanied the Prime Minister in his inspection tour.
Omar Mohamud Mohamed Filish, the Mayor of Mogadishu, who also serves as the Governor of Benadir Region, was at the function too.
Prime Minister Roble toured the port to inspect the quality of services offered.
He also visited the facility to assess the progress of the port development agreement signed between the government and Alberak Company.
Roble reiterated the government’s commitment to make Mogadishu Port one of the most developed in the continent.
