Prioritize Peace, Museveni Urges Somali President

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda has encouraged his Somali counterpart to prioritize peace.

He urged President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to lead the establishment of the People’s National Army on the right ideology.

In Museveni’s view, a national army built on the right ideology is the perfect solution for defending the country from internal and external aggressors.

“Somalia has to prioritize peace and stability to enable it to raise adequate resources for self-sustenance,” the Ugandan leader added.

Museveni said this on Sunday when the Somali leader paid him a courtesy call at State House, Entebbe.
