A prominent Somali journalist based in London died of complications arising out of COVID-19 on January 6, 2021.
Reports indicate that Ahmed Abdinur, a prominent journalist with Somali roots, died the virulent disease on Wednesday.
His death came as a shock to his colleagues working in the media industry in Somalia.
More specifically, his former colleagues at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) office in Somalia, were shocked and dismayed at his untimely demise.
Abdinur worked at BBC since 1996.
